New Church

Our Historic Church Building Project

A shuttered church from Chicago's South Side is being reclaimed by our parish located in Old Mill Creek, Illinois. The beautiful exterior of the original church, St John of God, is being dismantled piece by piece and will be re-assembled as the new facade of St Raphael the Archangel. Another shuttered church in the Chicago Archdiocese, St Peter Canisius, will provide interior artifacts for the new church. In addition, we were very fortunate to acquire a massive and extremely rare, church organ from the old Medinah Temple.

The Archdiocese posted footage from St. Raphael's Cornerstone Blessing Ceremony and news about the new church on their Catholic Chicago blog site. To view the footage, click here.

The new church was featured on Chicago Tonight during the "Ask Geoffrey" segment of the show. To view the footage, click here.
